There are many guides out there that attempt to explain how to choose a PC game. I found that 99% are either from the date of complete waste. The idea of this paper is to set the record straight for 2010.
To help if we'll follow an example in the guide based on some requirements, you should also have some requirements for your building.

The CPU
This is one of first choices you make in deciding the technology behind your PC to measure around it. The best way to describe it would be the brain of a PC. There are two players in this area, Intel and AMD. In its current state, Intel capital from the market high-end processor, the result is a clear choice when choosing a processor with a PC game as being built based on an Intel Core i7 i5 or with the latter being the fastest. AMD Phenom II CPU is sometimes used, but they are more commonly found in the computer budget is based. Each technology has multiple choice questions, to consider the specifications each CPU carefully.
We need to choose a processor for our example, our original requirements we can meet three main requirements of a i5 processor that currently come in several versions;
650 3.20GHz 4MB Cache LGA1156
750 2.66 8 MB cache 1156
4 660 3.33GHz 1156 MB cache
670 4.46GHz 4MB Cache LGA1156
The most popular choice is the 750 because of the larger L3 cache. We will base our example around that. You can choose something different, but the purpose of this guide, it will show you how a CPU choice affects your entire building.
The Motherboard
Well, then you have chosen your CPU? Do not worry if you do not often when you choose the right parts base your final decision about three or four games they all report to another. If you do not, then you might end up with an unbalanced system, not a big step for us.
This is where things begin to get a little tricky. There are probably 1000 motherboards out there you can choose from is important that you make the right choice. The best way to choose the motherboard is the right to make a list of features you want your computer and may want to use in the future. Important features are mainly;

As you can see there are quite a few things to consider! Do not panic if you choose once your motherboard your other options are relatively simple because they must comply with the motherboard specifications, but it's the hardest choice to make. For our example we chose an Intel P55 Express P7P55D Asus Motherboard Socket DDR3 1156 for the reasons explained below;
Socket type - This motherboard has a socket 1156. You may notice that this is the same as the processor socket i5 750 we chose, and if you do you would be right. motherboard socket types are directly related to the type of CPU socket, they must match. It explains how many points of contact are on the processor and the card mother, if these are not taken then the CPU will not be necessary.
Ok, so I hope you have customized your type of motherboard with CPU socket. It's that black and white, it makes the decision pretty easy. Your choice of motherboard have dropped considerably. Your choice is now 1000 probably fell to around 50, 5% of what you started with.
Chipset - Each socket type will have a single chipset partner with her. His sound complicated, but to put it simply, it's a fancy code that describes a basic characteristics such as motherboards having it on a graphics card, memory technology or the speed of PCI-E slots.
Currently, the platform has four socket LGA 1156 chipsets, the H55, H57, P55 and P57. Chipsets public available to the home user is that the H55 and P55 so that we can focus on them. These two chipsets differ from each other slightly, but not massively. I will not go into a huge amount of detail on these chipsets particular because it could be a guide quite different per se, but in fact the P55 is faster and we want a "gaming PC fast" so that the P55 chipset is chosen. Depending on your choice chipset you're probably left with more than 20 motherboards to choose from.
Type of memory capacity and speed - This choice is almost made for you when you take a chipset. The RAM you choose later in this guide is defined by what your motherboard supports.

If you plan to add things like graphics cards, sound cards and network to make sure your motherboard has available slots for this. The Asus P7P55D used for our example has a lot!
Onboard Devices - Motherboards come with devices already installed. It could be something as simple as having 4 ports USB to have an integrated sound and graphics. If you plan to install a device such as an expansion, then choose a motherboard that does those not built in and save you some money. On the other hand, choosing a motherboard with many features on board you will also save money that expansion cards are more expensive because they are superior to embedded solutions.
RAID - Used to increase hard drive performance or data security. Do you backup your data "on the fly or be able to read data more quickly? If the answer is yes, then you want a RAID on your motherboard.
Overclocking - If you plan to overclock, then you'll want a motherboard that is good at that. Unfortunately manufacturers do not state the quality of their motherboard for overclocking in the product specifications. The only real way to tell is to find yourself. Try hunting in online forums to see how others have been on overclocking your processor and motherboard combination.
Internal and external connectors - Its not to pick a good motherboard if you plan to use a PS2 keyboard and mouse and it has no connectors PS2. Check what you intend to connect the machine and if you have enough slots to do so. It's not too much of a problem if it is not quite Because you can add additional connections via expansion slots, but in the long run it will cost more.
