The performance you can get from a small desktop computer

Many people avoid the small desktop computer because they believe that the performance of such a configuration can offer is very limited. While it is somewhat limited due to the size of components (and systems cooling, if you want to remain silent), you can get a lot of power from one of these little computers. If there are games you have in mind you can easily play any kind of game that was published in the last period without any type of problem.

There are components with lots of power (not the fastest, but they are up there) that were specifically designed to be installed and used in one of these little desktops. Today you can build a quad-core, 4 GB of Ram and a very effective GTX 250 or even better without any problems. You can install all these components in the case of small and they work great. You can also imagine that this type of setup is no problem for the latest games and applications. In fact, many people use the little computer to replace the game console. They put in place in the living room, they connect to an HDTV and are using wireless controllers, just like the ones you have with your game console. They make this choice because the games are cheaper and a PC offers much more in terms features that the console will never provide.

In conclusion I can say that if power and speed you want from your little desktop, you can certainly have it. I recommend building a midrange system, as it will be easier to actually find the components and provide sufficient power and performance to run most applications and games.
