The Dell Vostro 1000 laptop series is powered by 1.8 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual Core Processor TL-56 with 1MB L2 cache (512 KB each core), 1600 MHz FSB with ATI RS485M or SB600 chipset motherboard, 512 MB DDR2 533 SDRAM, 80 GB 5400 rpm SATA hard drive and a 24X DVD / CD-RW Combo Drive.

Weighing 2.84 kg, the Dell Inspiron 1000 series notebook features a large 15.4-inch (39.1 cm) WXGA LCD Widescren TFT active matrix powered by integrated ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 graphics chipset with up to 128 MB shared memory shared and integrated into the card mother up with 1280 x 800 pixels screen resolution with 16.7 million colors.

ATI Radeon Xpress 1150 chipset gaphics provides support for accelerating Direct X 9.0, Dual independent display option, Dynamic Display Detect, and Open GL 1.4 graphical environment.

The Dell Vostro 1000 Notebook PC also features built-resolution VGA (640 x 480 pixels) webcam, internal stereo microphone and an integrated 8-in-1 card reader supports SD, MMC, MS, MS Pro, XD, Mini SD, MS Duo and MS Pro Duo media cards.

Dell Vostro 1000 comes with 85 WHr 9-cell lithium-ion battery that provides primary up to 7.5 hours autonomy at full load
