Now many of you are new computers, some are very good with hardware, and here we are the experts. But there are always common myths that lurk around from a few misconceptions people and spreading around through forums and websites. But I'm gonna break some of them.

A common myth that I encounter is: "A computer can not exist without a graphics card installed "Well, most of you would probably need a graphics card your computer for fun and laughter, and perhaps for shows, but this is not true .. Computers can operate without graphics cards. A common and one of the only options to operate computers without graphics cards is to have a motherboard with integrated graphics. It a really cool feature for those of you who do not really need the graphics power because you save money by buying not a graphics card. These motherboards with integrated graphics is certainly not as powerful as some mid-range and high end graphics cards but it will churn at a higher power than enough to give you a display on your monitor.

Another common myth I hear much is "Oh no, my Core2 processor is only 1.45 GHz, it is so slow !!!!!" Again, this is certainly not true. Processing speed CPU and its effectiveness depends on many factors. A major factor is the number of cores.

As technology continues to grow and revolutionize, programs and equipment must both follow. Today we have single-core processors, dual-core processors, the tri-core processors (AMD Phenom) and quad-core processors. Now if you were "trapped" by this common myth, you think that 3.00 GHz Pentium processor will be faster and more efficient as a 1.45Ghz Core2 processor. Well, that's wrong; take into consideration the number of cores: a Pentium 1, and the Core2 has two cores (in this example). Now when you have two cores MORE hyper-threading, which means you basically 4 cores, but not written on the box or computer. This means you have carrots as powerful or more powerful than the Pentium, and you have four of them. As you begin to use the programs more at the same time, the Core 2 will have an easy time using its nuclei, but the Pentium has a hard time because he has a nucleus, and it can take as son of and tasks.
