HP NP-20 has released another new notebook in the DV series, the HP Pavilion DV9000 is powered by Mobile AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-heart running on Microsoft Windows XP Professional with an optional choice of Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. It has a 17-inch WXGA + TFT LCD with resolutions of 1440 x 900 and optional WXGA BrightView or WSXGA + Ultra + (1680 x 1050) BrightView display, NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 with 256MB discrete graphics dedicated DDR2 VRAM, dual hard drive option with a total capacity of up to 240 GB and support for 802.11a/b/g Integrated Wireless LAN Wireless and Bluetooth technology that is only available on certain models. In addition, it also has a top-5-en-1 NP-40 Digital media card reader, four USB 2.0 ports, ExpressCard slot 54 and speakers integrated Altec Lansing stereo. Two stereo headphone jacks with high-definition audio (S / PDIF capable) and HP webcam with integrated dual stereo microphones would be an add-on option. DV9000 has a screen larger than the DV6000 but the specifications are not good enough. If I am given the choice to choose, I would go for HP Compaq 367759-001 Pavilion DV6000, the one I mentioned above there. DV9000 weight only 7.8 kg. No word on availability and pricing yet.
