Acer final consumers is severely anorexic. But do not think it is thin on performance. Under the hood, the Aspire L3600 has a processor Processor Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 clocked at 2.2 GHz. This 3-liter Ultra Small Form Factor PC has almost everything a desktop PC has full size, and then some.
Standard specifications include an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a hard disk drive and large320GB DVD loading slot. As you can imagine, there is no space in this little box to house a dedicated graphics card, so users have to do with an integrated solution. What hampers the graphics performance significantly, but if you intend to play the latest 3D games, this is not going to be a problem.
As a media center PC, the Aspire L3600 certainly shines. Very bright, I might add. People of R & Acer D division managed to cram in a TV / FM tuner so those who would put it in their living room to watch and record TV can certainly do so as soon as out of the box. There is also a video input, so if you have an old video camera (ER) with analog outputs only, you can transfer your old videos on the PC. The only thing missing is probably a full fledged control remote users control the PC, but today you can get the third remote to many computer stores.
Overall, the Aspire L3600 is very well designed and it is good to see vendors come out with innovative products. Although this small thing will probably be able to handle most computing tasks, the only thing he keeps is his inability to run the latest games, no thanks to its built-in graphics card. However, if we used in the living room as a media center PC, the Aspire L3600 will certainly not be disappointed. Just remember to get a remote control to go with it.
